Job Summary: Assist with upkeep of plant property and equipment. Tools and Equipment used: General hand and power tools, volt-ohm-millimeters, digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other testing equipment. Essential Functions: Perform the following duties according to ISO 9001 work instructions and standards: ● Install, repair, and wire a variety of electrical and electronic equipment and controls related to production and building equipment (including motors, relays, circuit breakers, machine/process controls/circuits, and alarm/communication systems. ● Diagnose problems and replace/repair defective parts. ● Maintain/replace/repair HVAC controls. ● Install wiring, conduit, and switches during remodeling and construction. ● Work scheduled overtime. ● Clean up after each maintenance activity using good housekeeping standards. ● Perform other duties as assigned. Perform general carpentry work. ● Inspect equipment for proper lubrication and perform preventive maintenance. ● Diagnose trouble, disassemble, determine extent of repairs, estimate labor time for outside repairs and/or make needed repairs and adjustments on plant facilities/equipment/machinery. ● Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, and other machine tools. ● Plan and lay out work for lower classified mechanics. ● Weld and work with sheet metal as required. ● Work scheduled overtime. ● Clean up after each maintenance activity using good housekeeping standards. ● Perform other duties as assigned. Job Summary: Perform repair and preventative maintenance on all material handling equipment. Essential Functions: ● Repair motorized and manual material handling equipment at all Valdese Weavers plants ● Maintain batteries and battery systems for electric powered material handling vehicles. ● Keep the Maintenance shop area and work area clean. ● Keep the mobile shop truck clean and organized. ● Assist other maintenance personnel with various duties throughout the plant. ● Maintain repair replacement parts inventory for PIT’s.
